New York, NY February 14, 2011 Bryan Gorczyk, an accomplished 20 year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has taken on new responsibilities as Managing Director at Renaissance Associates, Ltd., a specialized consultancy providing comprehensive corporate investigations, financial and digital forensics, electronic discovery and expert witness services and is now charged with leading and expanding the capabilities of their digital forensics and electronic discovery practices.
“Bryan brings a command of computer investigations needed to give our clients an immediate ability to respond to, and defend themselves from malicious digital threats,” remarked Kevin Barrows, Renaissance Associates Principal and highly decorated, former FBI special agent. “Having Bryan’s proven field experience – gained from leading the FBI’s New York office computer forensic program and the Computer Analysis Response Team, will give our clients piece of mind knowing that they are being advised by one of the most knowledgeable and capable investigators used to resolving the most time-sensitive and complex computer crimes and e-discovery matters,” added Kevin.
Mr. Gorczyk is former FBI special agent with over 20 years of investigative experience and one of the eighteen original FBI Computer Forensic Field Examiners first certified by the FBI Laboratory in 1991. During his tenure with the FBI, Mr. Gorczyk supervised the New York office computer forensic program, the Computer Analysis Response Team and a staff of Special Agents and Professional Support Computer Forensic Examiners.
Prior to his service with the FBI, Mr. Gorczyk was a Special Agent for the Naval Investigative Service branch of Naval Intelligence, a United States Army Military Police Officer and a Police Officer for the City of Independence, Ohio.
Mr. Gorczyk has personally conducted computer forensic examinations in high profile investigations, most notably the first and second World Trade Center attacks, the African Embassy bombings, investigations relating to Al Qaeda, and U.S. v. Richard Reid, the ‘Shoe Bomber’. He has been a featured lecturer at the FBI Academy, George Washington University, and the National College of District Attorneys. He also continues to conduct advanced digital forensics investigations training for the FBI and is a frequent presenter at leading industry events.
